Welcome to Chaotic Cherry!
Hi, I'm Melody, founder of Chaotic Cherry.
If you've known me for a while, you may remember me as Spiritual Harmomy, Psychic Medium. Before Chaotic Cherry was born, I spent years working as a psychic medium, hosting events, building communities, and selling alternative gifts and clothing at markets and events around the country.
But the truth is, my love for alternative culture started long before any of that.
Growing up in the 90s, I never really felt like I fitted into what was considered "normal". While everyone else seemed happy following trends and trying to blend in, I was always drawn to the weird, the unusual, and the people who weren't afraid to be themselves. Alternative music, subcultures, spirituality, creativity and individuality all felt far more like home than anything mainstream ever did.
As I got older, I spent time living in London, where I found even more inspiration in the incredible mix of people, styles, cultures and communities. It reinforced something I'd always known deep down: there isn't one right way to live, dress, believe or express yourself.
That belief has followed me throughout my life and ultimately became the foundation of Chaotic Cherry.
What started as selling a handful of alternative items alongside my psychic work gradually grew into something much bigger. In July 2024, I took a huge leap and opened my own physical shop. Since then, it has become a space filled with alternative fashion, unique gifts, spiritual treasures and all the beautifully unusual things that I personally love.
The online store is simply an extension of that space. What you see here is a true reflection of what's on the shelves in the shop and the community that has grown around it.
The name Chaotic Cherry came about after one of my many impulsive moments.
Originally, I launched the website under a completely different name, only to realise afterwards that I'd accidentally chosen the same name as an existing band. By that point, I'd already created the cherry logo and fallen in love with it, so I embraced the chaos and Chaotic Cherry was born.
The cherry itself became more than just a logo. It also became a way to honour my beautiful Nan, whose warmth, strength and spirit have always stayed with me. Keeping the cherry felt right, both creatively and personally.
In many ways, the name suits the business perfectly: a little unconventional, a little chaotic, and full of heart.
I've never been someone who follows the crowd. I'm a free spirit, a creative thinker, and someone who believes life is far too short to spend trying to fit into boxes that were never designed for us in the first place.
